It is the Grand Traverse Resort. They have a new indoor water park!! Yes thats right. Getting to be a few of them around now, so you have a little selection to choose from. But this is a 15,000 square foot water playground. Man they have a 70 foot water slide!! Ya Hoo, hang onto your shorts!! A new flooting obstacle course, basketball hoops, a new zero depth playground for the kiddies. Also a arcade to play in. Now what kid or adult would not want to do that. They have some great packages to choose from. So please check it out. Also are you looking for Traverse city resturants? Well there is Applebees, Arbys,Big Boy,how about this one, Blue Tractor resturant. Yum. Oh and here is a great one, Boones Prime Time Pub. Cool Breezes here. I wanted to tell you about a place in Muskegon that you can go and have a ball. I think, if you dont kill yourself. lol But it is at the winter sports complex. The Luge is like a bobsled track. It was built first with the thought for training for the Olympics. But if you want to check it out to do there are some things that you have to do first to be able to partisapate. But you have to sign a waiver and proff of health insurance. Yikes, that scares me already. But if your into a different experience, here you go. Call 231-744-9629 to reserve your spot. There is a 2 and hour time block for it to happen. Cost $40 for adults, $35 for kids 8-18. So anyway for something different, try it out. Now this will for sure have the cool breezes blowing thru your hair and tears running down your face. Either from fear or the cold. Have Fun.

Valentine's Get Away

Cool Breezes here, ok here's the scoop. I give everyboy a little warning that the big heart day is coming. I got a suggestion that might work. Now this is for you gals as well as you guys. How about a get-away to a neat Bed and Breakfast. Now I see that Valentines day falls on a Thursday this year. So why not make a nice long weekend of it and go for a couple of days!! Now being its during the week you might get a good deal.

Just think, no kids, if you got kids. That in itself should make you want to book one. lol If you do this you might even want to call ahead and have flowers or candy in the room. Wow would that make her happy. Course I like CANDY!! Well really cookies for me. That would win me over. lol But to really surprise him or her, you would have to keep this very quiet and do it on your own and not tell a soul. Hum that would be hard.

But give it some thought and maybe go out to a movie or get a spa treatment. Boy if my wife reads this I am in trouble. lol

Taste the Passion

Good Morning West Michigan!!! Cool Breezes here. I hope that your weekend went well as we will be getting some rain here the next few days I hear. But coming up this weekend,Feburary 9 & 10 there is going to be an exciting event going on the Leelanau Peninsula. It is a wine tasting treat.Its hosted by the wineries of the Leelanau Peninsula. Now, you will be given a souvenir glass to keep at you first stop. Did I say the first stop. Oh Oh, this might get you tipsy.But each winery will give you a special pour and a chocolate treat. Ya thats right ladies, CHOCOLATE!!!Now there is 11 wineries to visit. Oh man this might not be good. but you do them in any order you want between the hours of 11 to 5 on Saturday and on Sunday, it is between noon and 5. Many of the wineries will be hosting special events that promaote the winter atomosphere in there area.
There is going to be a special door prize drawing for romantic packages!! Look out guys. So try and get out there this coming weekend. There is fun to be had for sure. But do be careful drinking and driving. Let those cool breezes blow in your face and thru your hair.

Woman's Winter Tour

Hello again, cool breezes here. Now ladies this is for you. On Feburary 2-3 Crystal Mountain will be hosting the womens winter tour. Now if you want to shed a few of those winter pounds they are going to have all kinds of activities for you.On Saturday they will have cross-country and downhill ski clinics for ya. Also snow shoe tours. Ouch, that will give you a workout.Oh and here you go, a chocolate appreciation class. Now why in the world would they do that. Cause all you women love chocolate, thats why!! Then they will have live entertainment and dancing late into the night.

Hey everybody, Cool Breezes here. Just wanted to add a little something to warm

you up. So thought I would add this Palm Tree to make you feel like your where it is very warm. Well did it work?? Didnt think so.

But wanted to write a little more on Mackinaw Island. This is one of my favorite places to go. In the summer I love taking the ferry across to the island. There are a couple different ferries you can go on. They all cost the same so it doesnt matter which one you take.

I mean when you step off the ferry, its like your transformed into being in a victorian town. You can spell fudge everywhere. Your mouth just waters up and the first thing you want to do is get you some fudge. Even though your waist line tells you no, you go do it anyway.

You can go up to Fort Mackinac where you can tour some of the islands history of the fort. I mean this thing is like 200 years old. Wow!!

Then there is the Mackinaw island butterfly house. Which is just amazing. The kids will just go nuts in here. Course I loved it just as well. But I believe there are over 500 different butterflys!

Then you can take a carriage tour. You can take a one hour tour or a 45 minite tour. Then of course you have to watch out when the horses do their thing. lol But it is just a ball.

Then if you want to shop. Well now let me tell ya, hang onto your hat. Shops galore. There is Kilwins Fudge. They call the tourest fudgies cause no one leaves the island without fudge!!

Now where would you like to stay?? Well let me tell ya, they have got historic Inns to full service resorts. Bed and breakfast homes to cabins or cottages. What ever your need are, I think they can help you out.

Mackinac Island Winter Fest

Hey cool Breezes here. I hope all of you had a great weekend and enjoyed getting out and letting the cold breezes of west Michigan hit your face. Also that you were able to get out and enjoy all the festivals going on.
Well coming up on Febuary 1st on Mackinac Island they are having a winter fest. Never been there in the winter? Well you should check this out if you want to do something different. I mean its not like being there in the summer thats for sure. I mean in the summer you got biking, roller blading, hiking and all kinds of things going on.
Now in the winter its different for sure.Cross-country sking, snowshoeing, and some hiking going on. BUT this comeing weekend, there will be a good time had by all that come. At Great Turtle Park there will be snow vollyball, frozen fish toss, hum wonder what that is like. Golf, yes I said golf, and a great bonfire to roast hotdogs.
Oh and dont forget football!!! Yes there will be a superbowl party at Patrick Sinclairs Irish Pub, with plenty to drink and lots of food. I mean what more could you ask for. There are lots of places to stay, but you better call ahead of time to get a place. I would call the Mackinaw Island tourism bureau at (800) 454-5227. Great Lakes Air (906)-643-7165 provides service from St Ignace, Traverse City, and Pellston to the Island.
